Questions, problems, or something that needs reporting — write to support@oz9un.com and a human will read it. We aim to reply within two working days, and within 24 hours for anything involving safety or a report about another person.
Reporting someone
You can report or block anyone from their profile or from a chat. Blocking is immediate and mutual: you disappear from each other's app and cannot be matched again. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. If someone has made you feel unsafe, report them in the app — that gives us the context we need — and email us if you want a reply.
Why haven't I matched with anyone?
Seen only records a place once you have stayed there for about ten minutes, and a crossing needs someone else to have been there at the same time. A new crossing is also held for 24 hours before it appears, so nobody can use Seen to work out where you are right now. In a city where few people use Seen yet, this can take a while.
Why does Seen need background location?
Noticing that you stayed somewhere for ten minutes is the entire app, and it cannot be done while the app is closed unless location runs in the background. Seen does not keep a continuous trail of your movement and never shows your live location to anyone. You can pause it any time with Ghost Mode, or switch it off around specific places with Privacy Zones — both in Settings.
Who can see my photo and my name?
People you have crossed paths with can see your alias, your photo and how many times you crossed. Your real name stays hidden until you and the other person have both chosen to reveal. Chat only unlocks after that mutual reveal.
I'm not getting notifications
Check iOS Settings → Seen → Notifications, then Seen's own Settings screen, where each notification type can be turned on and off separately.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete Account, inside the app. It removes your profile, your locations, your crossings and your messages. Full instructions, including what to do if you can no longer sign in, are on the account deletion page.
Still stuck?
Email support@oz9un.com. Telling us your account email, your device and iOS version, and roughly when the problem happened will get you a faster answer.
